Kristina Joss helps mission-driven leaders build organizations that evolve continuously, not just transform periodically.
A purpose-driven operations executive with nearly 20 years leading strategy and operations across the social impact sector, Kristina partners with CEOs and leadership teams navigating critical growth transitions. She builds the operational capabilities, strategic frameworks, and organizational flexibility that enable sustainable scaling in dynamic markets.
She specializes in finding the path forward through complexity: creating the operating rhythms that let organizations adapt without disruption, the decision-making clarity that accelerates execution, and the strategic frameworks that turn ambition into measurable outcomes. Her approach focuses on building organizational capabilities that last by leveling up operations to meet new challenges rather than constantly starting over.
Background
From 2019-2024, Kristina served as Chief Growth Officer at GlobalGiving, the international social enterprise connecting nonprofits with funders across 175+ countries. As operational partner to the CEO, she directed $15M+ operations, led organizational redesign integrating four cross-functional teams, and delivered 120% revenue growth while scaling from 50 to 100+ employees.
During this period, she built the adaptive operational infrastructure that enabled GlobalGiving to navigate rapid growth, crisis response (COVID-19, Ukraine), and platform transformation simultaneously. This demonstrated that organizations can scale and evolve without constant disruption when the right capabilities are in place.
Before GlobalGiving, Kristina built and led Salterbaxter's North American practice, scaling from startup to $1.3M in client revenue while advising Fortune 250 executives on sustainability strategy and stakeholder engagement. Earlier in her career, she worked with Business in the Community (UK) managing £1.2M in corporate partnerships, and as a strategic consultant with Jaguar Land Rover.
Throughout her career, Kristina has partnered with global brands and mission-driven organizations including Airbnb, Bloomberg Philanthropies, Meta, PepsiCo, Hilton, and Spanx. She develops strategic approaches that balance competing priorities and translate complex environments into executable strategies.
What Drives Her Work
Kristina believes most organizations are exhausted from transformation cycles that deliver temporary fixes rather than lasting capability. Her methodology focuses on building organizations that can sense when change is needed, adapt quickly without breaking, and maintain momentum through inevitable market shifts. The goal is turning continuous evolution into competitive advantage.
This perspective stems from years of observing mission-driven organizations struggle with the traditional transformation playbook: launch initiative, execute plan, declare victory, only to find themselves starting over when conditions shift. She developed her approach by asking a different question: What if organizations built the capability to evolve continuously, rather than transforming periodically?
The result is a framework that helps leadership teams build operational flexibility, develop environmental intelligence, and cultivate evolutionary capability. These are the three pillars that enable organizations to navigate complexity without losing execution velocity or mission integrity.
